Meet Zendaya. You might know her as the Disney star that wowed judges and fans on Dancing With The Stars this past season, ultimately coming in second place. Or maybe you know her from her gig on the Disney show Shake It Up. No, I didn't either.
Zendaya's the latest Disney princess to take off on the music scene, after introducing the world to her amazing debut single, "Replay." In case you haven't heard it, the song is absolutely killer. It's a perfectly perfect blend of electro-beat dance music mixed with a sultry hip-hop vibe. And don't even get me started on the chorus... Take a listen:
Amazing, I know. Yes, it's been on Replay for days.
But what on EARTH could possibly make it any better of a song? Well, her label, Hollywood Records, has released a completely solid pack of remixes to the song. Doctored by the likes of Jason Nevins and Ralph Rosario, among others, the set is a scorching rethinking of the original. They're all pretty clubby, with a dash of pop mixed in but my favorite is the Jump Smoker's remix, which is chalk full of pumping synths and a great beat to transform the jam into a club banger.
What do you think? I still love the original, and six new remixes give me much more to love. What's you favorite?
