London Grammar - "Strong"

British alt-rock trio London Grammar are currently hyping their upcoming debut album, If You Wait, which is due out September 9th via the groups' own label, Metal & Dust Recordings. To prepare for the launch of their new CD, London Grammar has premiered a new music video, along with a new cut from the album, "Strong."

"Strong" features a strong downtempo arrangement from guitarist Dan Rothman and drummer Dot Major, but what is perhaps the best part of the song are Hannah Reid's lead vocals. She sounds very similar to Florence Welch, only much more subdued. Think more tragic vocals, less shouting.

It all blends together to make a fantastically haunting and tragically beautiful cut. I really am digging this new release, and the video is pretty sweet, too. The band also has another awesome single, "Wasting My Young Years" which is currently sitting in the UK Top 40.

Take a listen to "Strong" below and check out the video, which was directed by none other that Sam Brown. For those of you that are unaware, he's the genius behind Adele's Rolling in the Deep. Yeah, it's that good.
