How Did I Forget This?

A few weeks ago, my favorite up-and-coming rap troublemaker Azealia Banks released another new track titled "Fuck Up The Fun." Featuring a heavy beat courtesy of none other than Diplo, the track is yet again Banks doing what she does best: spitting out rhymes like no one's business. (She's rather fantastic, isn't she?) This girl is going places, believe it or not, and after her performances at Coachella and that triumphant finish in the Sound of 2012 poll, she's poised to take a more mainstream stance.

DJ, Ease My Mind

Niki And The Dove have just released their video for their single off their upcoming debut studio album, Instinct. The track is titled "DJ, Easy My Mind," and features lead singer Malin Dohlström begging the DJ to play her favorite song. I'm in love with the track and have been following the group since their nomination for the BBC Sound of 2012 poll back in December. Although they finished 5th, the Swedish trio absolutely has a huge career in their future and I expect some really great things to come from their album, out May 14th! Check out the video for "DJ, Ease My Mind" below!

Introducing: Michael Kiwanuka

After seeing the results for the BBC Sound of 2012 poll, I was left scratching my head as to who Michael Kiwanuka was. Well, I finally had the time to track down the answer and found the first single off his upcoming debut album, Home Again, out March 23rd. Kiwanuka was in a stiff competition with artists like Emeli Sandé, Azealia Banks and Frank Ocean, to name a few. Well, after hearing 'Home Again' I can say that it wasn't an out-of-left-field decision to crown him the winner. 'Home Again' is a steady soulful ballad that features a guitar and Kiwanuka's charming voice. I'm sure there are many great things to be heard from Kiwanuka and I can't wait for more.
