Here's A Little Spring Playlist

I've taken a little time to create a new Spotify playlist of the lastest music that I've found and am currently obsessed with litstening to since the buzz has been a little slow lately. It's a pretty good compilation, if you ask me, and it'll surely have you dancing around in your underwear. So take a listen below!

Kay's New Video Is Basically Awesome

Canadian electro-pop princess Kay has released the video for her new single, "Diddy Dum" and all I can say is that it's amazing. It's a bit like a little toned-down Karmin with a little bit of Robyn-Ke$ha hybrid mixed with a Gwen Stefani vibe that instantly works. The chorus is just an infectious as the accordion riff in the background, and the '80s-inspired marching band/biking montage ties it all together rather nicely. Kay has had success with other releases in the past year, like "My Name Is Kay," which was released back in April last year. She's quickly rising up and "Diddy Dum" I'm sure will perform nicely in the Canadian charts for her. Take a look at the video for "Diddy Dum" below, oh, and good luck singing any other chorus all day!

How About Some New Karmin?

YouTube-turned-signed stars Karmin, composed of Berkley grads Amy Heidermann and Nick Noonan, are quickly rising in the pop world. The two have released their second single, "BrokenHearted" today, featuring Heidermann's signature rapping over a very sleek and well-produced beat. Noonan's vocals are absent from the track, but it's still sensational. The duo will be making their debut performance on SNL with Zooey Deschanel in the next two weeks, so the pressure is on, considering the recent fall out from Lana Del Rey. Signed with Epic Records, Karmin's second album is due out in April of this year and I am more than excited. Listen to "BrokenHearted" below, as well as the first single off the new album, the exceptional "Crash Your Party" below. Also, check out their SoundCloud page for more great tunes, including a great white-girl rendition of Nicki's "Super Bass".
