First and foremost, I apologize for the severe delay in posts. The past few weeks have been crazy busy for me and maintaining this blog was just too much to stay on top of. However, I am back! And that's the important part!!
Now, on to the main event. After announcing last year the development of her debut album, Sky Ferreira announced that she would be changing her musical style from the electro-pop vibes that were featured on her debut EP As If! (For those of you who don't remember, the EP featured some gems like the amazing "Sex Rules" and "Haters Anonymous") While I was a little sad to hear of her shift toward a more Blondie-inspired sound, I was curious to see where she would go.
That lead us to Sky's new release, "Red Lips," which has a feel of a gritty '90s alternative rock sound that is a little reminiscent of a Garbage track. Also released was the video for the track, which makes me more terrified of red lipstick than I thought possible. It's definitely a promising new release from Sky and I am getting excited for the release of her debut album I'm Not Alright later this year.
