Much more upbeat than the past few singles the Flo Crew have released, "Spectrum" is a bright, artistic mex of everything that is right in the world. Paired with a group of seriously talented ballet dancers and a killer wardrobe, Flo has never been better, in my opinion. Check out the video for "Spectrum" and make sure to download Ceremonials if you haven't done so already!

There Is Florence, Then Everyone Else
Florence Welch, along with her band Florence + The Machine, have absolutely killed it in the video for their fifth single "Spectrum" off their second studio album, Spectrum. The video, which was directed by the iconic fashion photographer David Lachapelle and John Byrne, is absolutely perfect in every stretch of the word.

Baby Come Home
The Scissor Sisters have released the video to their latest promotional single, "Baby Come Home" off their fourth studio album Magic Hour. The video features the foursome in a series of odd costumes and situations all against a pretty trippy backdrop, all of which work nicely together. I like the sound of "Baby Come Home" quite a bit and it's a nice change from the more electronic, clubby sound the band has been showing lately. That being said, Magic Hour is absolutely their best showing yet, and if you haven't had a chance to check it out already, you should probably do so!
Never Close Our Eyes - Video
The always unexpected Adam Lambert has released the video for his lead single, "Never Close Our Eyes" off his second studio album, Trespassing. The video is nothing like what you would expect it to be, and instead features a sci-fi, futuristic play on the song that I'm really in to. The ending ties it all together rather nicely and Glambert gives nothing but his best. If you haven't checked out Trespassing yet, you probably should. It's gotten some of the best reviews of the year and it's a true pop record that has been blessed with superb production.

Jumanji
Yes, it's an underrated Robin Wiliams movie, but no, that's not the purpose of this post. Instead, it's also the title of the follow-up single (to the fantastic "212") released by upcoming rap sensation Azealia Banks.
Although it isn't featured on her debut EP, which was released today, "Jumanji" is a really well-done display of Banks' talent, which I would only expect at this point in her career. Starting with an almost ethereal harp string intro and leading in to a youthful, MIA-reminiscent beat, she is never fearful of where she's going: "Real bitch, all day, Uptown, Broadway," she chants in the chorus.
It's definitely giving her all the more reason to get massive attention and her ability to successfull string together verses, regardless of their sense: "That can and can and continue/Your anti-nanas and cameras," yeah, me neither. Even still, the song has been stuck in my head since it's first listen and it's definitely worth at least a run-through.

I'm Beyond Excited For The New Paris Hilton Album
And I'm not shamed to admit it for one second.
A demo for a track supposedly featured on Paris' new upcoming second studio album, "Louder", has been uploaded to SoundCloud. The track features vocals from Mizz Hilton herself as well as the "incredible" Flo Rida in all of his fantastic glory. But what could make the track even better? Oh, right. It's been produced by "hit-maker" David Guetta. But no, you'd never guess that listening to the new cut. It just has the signature, over-powering techno-infused bass line behind it the entire time and Paris' signature auto-tune.
Now, now, let's not forget the magic that Paris gave us with "Stars Are Blind." Aside from the Guetta nonsense, the track really does give us a little to be excited about. After all, with all the new releases from Azealia, Marina, Madonna etc., it's time the world once again welcome some guilt-free God-awful pop music.

The woman can do anything.
The Sound Of Arrows - Conquest Video
One of the newer bands to be getting some much deserved attention, The Sound Of Arrows have released the video for their song "Conquest" off their debut studio album, Voyage. If you haven't given the Swedish poptronica group a listen before, hopefully this new video will sway you.
Serving as the second track for their fourth single "Wonders," "Conquest" is one of the more memorable tracks on their album. The video is no different, featuring an array of mirrored shots of Oskar and Stefan, not to mention a barrage of various objects that include a DeLorean, a unicorn and a topless dancer. Needless to say, the brilliance of the song is matched by the beauty of the video.
Shot in Barcelona by Ernest Desumbila and co-produced with Dan Grech-Marguerat, "Conquest" is one of the best showings The Sound Of Arrows have on Voyage. Check out the video below and help get the duo all the attention they so undoubtedly deserve.

Kylie Minogue Is A Timebomb
To celebrate her upcoming K25 Tour, the sensational can-do-no-wrong Kylie Minogue has treated us with a brand new single, "Timebomb". Written in collaboration with Karen Poole, "Timebomb" is a pumping, much dirtier showing from Kylie than we've seen since the amazing Aphrodite dropped. That being said, it's actually pretty fantastic - I was hooked after the first listen.
And the video? Oh, it's not much. No, there's no way I can be serious about that - it's actually incredible. Directed by the marvelous Christian Larson, it mostly features the Goddess wandering around new York City and not really caring what the hell she does. Kylie looks absolutely incredible (can you believe she'll be 44 next week?!) and strictly kills it throughout the entire video.

Goodness I Love Gossip
Gossip have released the video for their latest single, "Move In The Right Direction," which is cut from their spectacular new album, A Joyful Noise. In short, the video is nothing short of pure Gossip brilliance, which is absolutely everything I've come to expect from the band.
Whether it's the fantastic series of expressions on Beth Ditto's face or the perky back-up dancers, everything about the video fits together nicely. I like the lyrics to the song used as the backdrop for the video and the red gives nice contrast to the black and white playback.
Be sure to check out the video for "Move In The Right Direction" and if you haven't downloaded A Joyful Noise, I highly suggest you do. (iTunes)

The Swede's Know Their Electropop
Swedish dance duo Da Buzz, consisting of Per Lidèn and Annika Thörnquist, have come back on to the dance-pop scene with their latest release, "Got This Feeling." It's nothing short of pure dance-pop perfection and further instills the belief that the Swedish people can literally do nothing wrong in the world of dance. Remember that little girl, oh what's her name? Of course, that would be Robyn.
Anyways, check out Da Buzz's new track, which I would recommend doing so with your speakers on full blast, and most likely in your underwear to fully grasp the power that is "Got This Feeling".

Just A Fantastic Saturday's B-Side
After a rather lackluster new single after what was a rather amazing performance of their latest album On Your Radar, The Saturdays new B-side for recent release "30 Days" has been released. The track, titled "Turn Myself In," is surprisingly decent, even after opening with the incredibly deep line: "I was standing by the bar, on a table." Can you feel the emotion?
But in all reality, "Turn Myself In" is a pretty fantastic pseudo-ballad that should give a few points back to the dismal "30 Days." Regardless, my girls need to step it up if they ever think they're going to make it in America.

Mila Jovovich Can Make Music?
Milla Jovovich, who some of you may remember from a few of those fantasy films with whatever supernatural villain she's trying to kill, has just leaked a new track titled "Electric Sky" and it may or may not be strictly amazing. Milla, who's musical career fizzled out with a rather poor performing debut release in 1994, has been tripping in and out of the music scene since then.
Well, this is surely a welcome return from Mizz Jovovich, who collaborated with Chris Brenner and Stuart Zender with a hint of that Randy Jackson fellow, you know, of the American Idol show. The end result? A killer blend of electropop perfection that is begging for a full release, even if only an EP. It's as catchy as can be and absolutely worth a few million listens. Check out "Electric Sky" below and watch out for more greatness to come from Milla!

Badman
East Londoner Ruby Goe, who's recently rose to fame from the release of her recent video "Get On It", has released another video, this time for her latest track titled "Badman." The track is really very cathy and and exceptionally crafted piece of electronic tuneage, reminding me a bit of post-"Milkshake" Kelis' efforts on Flesh Tone. She also reminds me a bit of an electropop version of little Azealia, which can only mean good things for Ruby. Check out her video for "Badman" below!
Breath of Life
One of my favorite artists of the past few years, Florence Welch and her band, Florence + The Machine have released their promotional single "Breath of Life" that will be featured in the upcoming action-fantasy film Snow White and the Huntsman, which will be in theaters June 1st! The production on the track has the power behind it that the movie's previews seem to portray, and it's still reminiscent of Florence's work on Ceremonials while still remaining unique to the film. Plus, the best pay off is getting to see previews of the film in the video, including the incredible Charlize Theron being a bad-ass as the evil queen. Check out the video for "Breath of Life"!

Let's Have A Kiki
Today, the Scissor Sisters released a new promo single off their upcoming fourth studio album Magic Hour out May 28th. The track is called "Let's Have A Kiki" and it's very...interesting. Essentially, imagine all the drag queens that you know, then add all of their drag queen friends, and listen to them sit down and talk over a '90s-infused beat. That's "Let's Have A Kiki," in a nutshell. IT's definitely an odd track to listen to, but the beat is so deliciously Scissor Sisters, it's just ridiculous. Magic Hour is preparing itself to be probably the most gay-friendly album of 2012 and "Let's Have A Kiki" should get the gays more excited than they were for Born This Way. (If still not convinced, see: "Shady Love" and "Only The Horses")

Ellie Does Ellen
I've been meaning to write this post for some time now, but just now seem to be getting around to it. A few weeks ago, back in April, my idol and absolute favorite musician on the face of the Earth, Ellie Goulding played the Ellen show. After having played Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Regis & Kelly, and not to mention Saturday Night Live, this was not my gal's first trip to the Stateside rodeo. That being said, Ellie gave an absolutely brilliant performance of her debut US single "Lights" off the album of the same name, and it blew everyone away, including Miss DeGeneres herself!
Surrounded by a series of futuristic glowing lights and backed by not only her band but a talented string section, Ellie et al. offered up a fantastic live version of the track. Absent from the studio version is Ellie's drum playing, which believe me when I say, it is absolutely incredible in person. Ellie gave a true star-level performance on Ellen, with it being her first US live show since Letterman back in January.
What I really have to comment on is the incredible rise to fame Ellie Goulding has seen over the past few years. After releasing "Under The Sheets" back in September of 2009 and going on to win the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, she released her debut Lights in March of 2010. Since then, Ellie has gone from a struggling songstress to a true star in the States and the UK. When I first heard her CD back in the Summer of 2010 (and met her at Lovebox that same summer), I knew that there was something in her that would launch her to the success she deserved.
Now, just over two years later, she has made her US debut, a true challenge for any up-and-coming British artist (see: Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, etc.). She has hit the American ground running, opening for Katy Perry and sampling for artists such as Mika and Skrillex, and only more great things are in her future.
I am so truly thankful for the music she has given me and having the opportunity to watch her grow as a musician and star is much more rewarding than I ever could have thought. I can't wait for her second studio album to be released later this year, as I know it will be just as fantastic, if not better, than Lights.
In the meantime, if you've made it through my mumbled musings, take a look at the sensational performance Ellie Goulding gave on Ellen:
Be sure to hit 'Like' and share your thoughts below! Also, if anyone has an Ellie-inspired haircut, let me know. I'm obsessed with her hair and love fan-made looks!

Here's One From Baby Cheryl
Isn't it a bit funny that both Cheryl Cole and her younger counterpart Cher Lloyd both release videos at the same time? Cher's back with the US version of her debut US single "Want U Back" that will be the lead single off her upcoming US debut, Sticks + Stones, which is out later this year. This version of the video is absent of any other X Factor contestants, which is rather nice and features the playful Cher we know and love. She's also brought out her feisty side, which is just as much fun as the cute angle she can work. It's all very exciting to see Cher making her way to the States and hopefully she'll be welcomed with open arms!
This Video Is Literally Everything
The always stunning and spectacular Cheryl Cole has finally released the video for her latest single, "Call My Name" from her third official studio album, A Million Lights, which will drop in the UK on June 18th. The video for the Calvin Harris-produced track was shot in downtown Los Angeles by Anthony Mandler and is just what we needed of Chezza. It's basically a ton of glamourous shots of the former Girls Aloud star looking fierce and better than ever. It also doesn't hurt that the track is equally as stunning - I mean, really, how do you not break out in dance when the beat drops? Check out Cheryl's new video below!
VIDEO: Dragonette's "Let It Go"
We finally have the new video for Dragonette's latest single, the unbelievably addicting and undoubtedly catchy "Let It Go." The new video features lead singer Martina suffering from some sort of dancing fever and is forced in to a mental hospital to recover. Basically, all you need to know about the video is that you will only want to dance the entire time and you get to watch the band play with a cute rabbit. I really like the way the video was shot and it definitely marks an exciting time for Dragonette as they prepare for their new studio release later this year.
