Carly And Adam Have A "Good Time"

I'm still trying to recover. This song literally makes me want to dance every time I hear it. Well, folks, Carly Rae Jepsen and Adam "Owl City" Young have released the video for their killer Summer anthem, "Good Time." The video features the duo travelling to the forest to have a bonfire party with their friends and, well, having a good time. The video isn't anything amazing, but it doesn't have to be. That's where it wins. They just prove that they don't even have to try, it's always a good time. THERE. Is that exhausted yet?

Anyways, the single is Carly's follow-up single to the still-amazing "Call Me Maybe" and Adam's lead single off his upcoming fourth studio album The Midnight Station, which is out August 20th. The track is certainly playing as a contender for the Song of the Summer, as it has risen to #21 on the Hot 100 recently and have been getting considerable airtime. I am still in love with the song and have had the video on repeat.

Can Anything Really Follow "Call Me Maybe"?

Well, it sure looks like they're going to make a push for it. In case you are living in the middle of nowhere where they don't have a single radio station, or something, "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen is all over the place. And for good reason, no doubt, because that song is just so damn catchy.

And then there is Owl City, or Adam Young, who had that pretty huge smash, "Fireflies," a few years back. But since then, it seems we've all fallen off the wagon. He's had a few singles since then, but nothing really competes with "Fireflies."

So what do you do when you have two singers who need a huge follow up to some massive hits? Well, I give you "Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae. It's a late showing for a summer jam, but it has everything you need to get down: the huge beat, the anthemic chorus and the biggest breakout star of 2012. The real question is to see if it will actually chart well, regardless of just how good the track is!

So, I Kind Of Just Had To Put This One On Here

While the track was released back in 2011, but I just have to comment on how ob-sessed I am with the Carly Rae Jepsen single, "Call Me Maybe." The song, which features the vocals of Canadian Idol's 2007 third place finisher, the track is literally one of the best releases in the bast few months. Since it's release to mainstream radio on March 6th, the song has seen a huge rise on the Billboard Hot 100, sitting in the mid 30's since. I can't wait until it blows up and hits #1. The song serves as the first official single from Jepsen's EP Curiosity, which dropped on February 14th.

The song is about a young girl falling for the boy next door and trying to give him her number. It's the perfect anthem for all of us who have ever been too scared to take the plunge and give a sexy someone our number. Oh, and let's not forget about the killer hook and the amazing strings in the background. And the video? Oh, I won't spoil the ending but it's actually adorable. If you haven't had a chance to have Carly Rae change your life, check out the video for "Call Me Maybe" below!
