Moving up through the ranks of the hip-hop-pop scene, this 19-year-old is poised to soon become a pop superstar. K. Rose is making waves with her debut track "Sleep When I'm Dead" and it's all for good reason. The track is a bass-heavy, pounding pop anthem all about pushing forward and not, well, sleeping. It's a massive number and she handles it well.
Growing up with a performance background, having gone to a performing arts school and perfecting her hip-hop persona, K. Rose is teaming up with the likes of Cool and Dre and Interscope Records, which is all very exciting. Steve Angello, of Swedish House Mafia, helped co-pen "Sleep When I'm Dead" along with the young singer while .
Homegirl can definitely spit out some pretty sweet verses and the dubstep breakdown in the song is absolutely stunning. Plus, how many of us just want to walk around chanting "Watch Me Work"?! She's definitely someone to pay attention to in the future, so get K. Rose on your radar!!

New Video: Azealia Banks - "Van Vogue"
Following up the second single off her debut EP 1991, rap songstress Azealia Banks has released the video for her third promotional single, "Van Vogue." The track, full of sleek and moody beats, as well as the occasional dog WOOF! is signature Banks, with her stellar delivery and genius lyrical skill. The video is just as perfect, with some stunning production, Azealia playing in some water, and a much more minimalist, glam feel from her video for "Liquorice."Overall it has got some serious bite to it that I'm really digging. The whole Azealia Banks is Queen campaign is pretty dope. I'm curious to see where the "HUNGER" title card at the end goes. Check it out!
Kelly Clarkson - "Get Up (A Cowboys Anthem)"
Who wants to play football? I sure do! The amazing and wonderful Kelly do-no wrong Clarkson has just premiered her new song for Pepsi's upcoming NFL feature! The four artists involved were asked to write an anthem about their hometown team and for Kelly that means the Dallas Cowboys. "Get Up (A Cowboys Anthem)" is a pop-tacualr stomper that is just fun and makes me want to dance. It's nothing super groundbreaking but just another step for Kelly toward total world domination. Take a listen below!

Neon Hitch - "Gold"
One of my favorite artists of late, Neon Hitch has released her second official single off her upcoming album Beg, Borrow and Steal, which is due out later this year. The track is titled "Gold," features a guest verse by Tyga and was co-written with the help of Bruno Mars. The new song is much more radio-ready than the risque "Fuck U Betta" and is sure to help her get some serious airtime before the new album drops. "Gold" is a funky and upbeat bouncing number that has some pretty great production behind it. I'm feeling it and it just gets me more excited for her new album!

The Spice Girls SLAYED The Closing Ceremony
Stop what you're doing.
If you have been living under a rock for the past two weeks and missed out on all the action that was the Olympics and somehow didn't know that the original, most spectacular girls group of all time were performing at the Closing Ceremony, don't worry. It's here.
Yes, last night the Spice Girls performed for what is expected to be their last time as a full group to an audience of what is estimated to be over 1 billion. The group performed their hit tracks "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" to a thoroughly entertained audience in the show-stopping performance of the night. No, I'm not exaggerating.
The show was spectacular, featuring each of the five arriving in specially decorated iconic black London cabs and a more mature Spice-inspired look. In short, it was awesome and I have rewatched it a countless amount of times.
In their first performance together since their 2008 reunion tour, the Spice Girls have been delivering hits for the past 16 years and their reunion was the most phenomenal thing on Earth. Don't try and tell me otherwise. They helped close the show of the London 2012 games and did it in such breathtaking style that I couldn't function for an hour afterward.
Now, in case you are wanting to get a second viewing of the Girls' major show, here it is. Now get on with it and SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!!!!

Why Did No One Alert Me About This Sooner?!
I honestly can't believe it has taken me this long to write a post about the fantastic new release by Australian sister songstresses The Veronicas. (Well, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've been living in London for the past 6 weeks with tragic internet conditions.) Anyway, the new track is title "Lolita" and is absolutely perfect.
It's been five years since we've heard anything from The Veronicas after their sophomore album Hook Me Up dropped in 2007. But now they're finally(!) back with new material and it's actually amazing. The song is produced by Tony Gad, who worked with the duo on their other huge hit, "Untouched" and features a pounding club beat and the howling vocals the sisters are so known for. I think it sounds perfect and a bit inspired by the club beats Lady GaGa was going for on "Born This Way," specifically the sweeping sound of "Judas," only utilized by The Veronicas in a much better way. Take a listen below and be sure to snag your copy of their third studio album Life On Mars, out later this year.

MIKA: "Celebrate" Video!
I'm thrilled and overjoyed with the latest video MIKA has released for his new single "Celebrate (ft. Pharell"! The track is an uplifting bouncy and lively stomper that I have been in love with since first listen. The video is no different. Under the direction of BB-Gun, the video features the 28-year-old British singer suffering from a tragic case of writers block, only able to solve the issue by looking at his surroundings and celebrating life. A little cornball, but MIKA looks fantastic, as usual, and the video is nearly perfect, with the giant finale club scene. take a look for yourself and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for a copy of MIKA's third studi album, The Origin of Love out later this year!
Rita Ora - 'ORA' Album Sampler
Up-and-coming songstress Rita Ora has released a sampler of her upcoming debut album ORA, which is out August 27 in the UK. The 21-year-old Brit is quickly gaining ground in the US with her debut US single "How We Do (Party)" which has seen success as it's been climbing the charts, along with her already #1 UK hit "R.I.P." The sampler is not nearly enough material to judge her upcoming album, but the sound has a very noticeably Diplo and The-Dream production feel to it while still retaining the bite that Rita is known for. "Radioactive" will be the next US single and the sampler is down below!

Ellie Goulding Premiere's "Anything Could Happen"!
Just this morning on Fearne Cotton's Radio 1 show, Ellie Goulding premiered her first official single, "Anything Could Happen" off her upcoming second studio album, Halcyon (October 9th). With the new single, Ellie also released a lyric video compiled of over 1,200 photos taken by Instagram. The new track is a pounding piece of electropop perfection and I'm already obsessed with it. It's full of a glittering drum melody and a killer hook, not to mention the Ellie's unique vocals (which thankfully include her harsher, bellowing yell, which we've only really been lucky to hear from her in live shows). Much less of a typical mainstream first release, "Anything Could Happen" is surely an indication that the upcoming album, as well as Ellie's new direction, will be utterly brilliant. I can't wait!
The full single for "Anything Could Happen" will be released Stateside and in the UK via Interscope/Cherrytree records on September 30th.

Ellie Goulding's Album Teaser Is Everything
My idol and all-time favorite songstress ever Ellie Goulding has released a brief snippet sampler of her upcoming second studio album Halcyon! The sampler is amazing and I'm currently obsessed to no avail. Starting with a snippet of "Anything Could Happen (out next week!!)" it moves in to a stomping, sassy track with a beat-boxing Ellie. LOVE. Followed by a whimsical, downtempo number reminiscent of "Under The Sheets" and moves in to "It's Gonna Be Better," which is great. Moving through another stunning downtempo number, the sampler reaches a massive final track that I DIED to the first listen. I seriously CANNOT wait for this album. Check. It. Out.
If anyone was worried about following Lights, the girl has done it. I'm loving this new change in direction!
Halcyon will be released through Interscope/Cherrytree of October 9th.

Introducing: Frank + Derol
A duo composed of singer Cori Coraco and Miley Cyrus' older half-sister Brandi Cyrus, Frank + Derol are quickly gaining notoriety in the alt-pop circuit with their latest release, "Barely Love You Too." The pair are signed to Interscope Records and the new track is absolutely flawless in every way, shape and form. But really, it's pretty damn good. It's a nice downtempo summer daze jam with a killer hook and even better chanting lyrics. Their debut EP is due out in September and I am so happy because I can't get enough of the track!

Carrie Underwood - "Blown Away" Video!
The never less-than-stellar Carrie Underwood has released the video for her second official single "Blown Away," off her latest fourth studio album of the same name. The video was directed by Randee St. Nicholas and features the Country songstress struggling through an abusive relationship with her alcoholic father and the entire thing is spot on and definitely features a more "authentic" Country feel from Underwood since her previous "Good Girl" video. I'm obsessed.
Plus, the video features quite possibly the best and most necessary use of a wind machine in recent music video history.
